The answer to this question is the sum of answers to several other questions, for example: Dimensions and shape of the room? Its size? Type and condition of the substrate? Necessary scope for its proper preparation? The nature of the loads and their magnitude? Way of usage? Preferred colors? Mounting method? Number and type of add-ons? Self-assembly or by professionals? If you answer these questions, we will tell you what will be the cost of the whole orbold, 1 m2.
The base should be stable, load-bearing and as even as possible. The better the condition of the substrate, the better the visual effect after installing the floor, the more comfortable it is to use, the longer it is to be used, and the cleaning is easier.
The main difference is the structure of the plate and the compressive strength resulting from it. The Standard tile is homogeneous in its entire thickness in its cross-section. From the bottom, the Light plate looks like a chocolate mold – it has so-called “air pockets” in its lower part. This difference in construction means that the compressive strength of the Standard tile is 500 kg / cm2 and the Light tile is 200 kg / cm2. The Light tile is also not much more elastic, which is why it is often used in playrooms, fitness centers and gyms.
For the care of Speedfloor PVC floors, all you need is: a cotton flat mop, warm water and generally available detergents for cleaning synthetic floors. A broom with soft bristles is also useful. The use of professional care products further improves the effect of care: reduces the adhesion of dirt to the floor, facilitates its re-cleaning, protects the surface against excessive wear.
The versatility of the systems, the structure of their elements and the versatility make almost everyone able to lay such a floor on their own. Of course, assuming that the condition of the ground does not require special measures, we have basic tools and a little manual skills. The assembly instructions available for download on our website may be helpful.
Generally, we deliver floors or wall cladding elements in their original dimensions. However, if we receive the dimensions of the necessary surfaces with an accuracy of 1 cm, then, for an additional fee, we can prepare the whole for self-assembly: cut the elements to individual dimensions, number them and mark them on the assembly sequence instruction.
For outdoor use, PP25, SBR / EPDM solutions are recommended first. The decision to choose a specific one depends mainly on the planned area of application. The table of Speedfloor systems applications prepared by us and placed in the APPLICATIONS tab may be helpful in making the right decision.
The best solution is to use a special guillotine for this purpose. At home, you can use: a jigsaw or angle grinder – preferably with a disc for cutting plastic and aluminum. If we do not have one, you can also use saw blades for metal or concrete cutting – then it is best to cut at slow speed. As a last resort, a sharp and durable knife can be useful.
If we do not care about a specific color, we suggest choosing the Speedfloor Eco 7 mm version. This solution combines the strength of Standard tiles with the economy of Light tiles. The use of recycled material in the production of this version of tiles allows to reduce costs. The Eco Gray version is a good choice: the floor is not dark and there is no visible wood dust on it. Using a soft broom or a vacuum cleaner for cleaning means that this activity is not a problem regardless of the type of tile surface. The compressive strength of up to 500 kg / cm2 allows the material to be transported with the use of heavy forklifts. There are also no problems with placing heavy woodworking machines on such a floor.
In the vast majority of cases, the Speedfloor PVC floor is laid “dry” – without gluing. It is recommended to stick it in areas of strong sunlight (e.g. glass facades), on ramps and driveways, in places where vehicles are maneuvered in small spaces, on transport routes where heavy trucks on plastic wheels work, etc.
If we want to use a water drainage system under the floor surface – we recommend the Speedfloor SPP25 version, If we want to create a sealed surface of the floor or walls – we recommend using Speedfloor PVC in the glued version.
Yes. If the underfloor heating is permanent (the floor is a permanent heating plate), both Speedfloor PVC and Speedfloor PP or Speedfloor SBR / EPDM versions will work well as a floor surface. If underfloor heating is used sporadically and for a short time, the most effective will be Speedfloor PP25 or Speedfloor PVC, but with a thickness of 4 mm.
This is a version of the mobile antistatic floor; combination of the modular nature of the Speedfloor PVC system, the strength of vinyl and the electro-conductivity of graphite fibers. Thanks to this combination, it is possible to quickly create an anti-electrostatic floor that is not connected to the substrate.
